DESCRIPTION:On May 30\, the mockumentary performance “Deep Fake” will take place twice in the Prägerhalle. \n“Deep Fake” combines documentary theatre with performance art and invites the audience into the controlled\, almost oppressive production process of digital avatars. The stage resembles a film studio: simple props\, a green screen\, and reduced\, cold lighting create an artificial working atmosphere. The performers follow precise instructions almost like machines. They sit motionless\, speak with a controlled smile\, and move in a minimalist way. This deliberately reduced physicality makes the growing alienation within the production process visible. \nAs the performance progresses\, the boundaries between reality and fiction begin to blur. An atmosphere of increasing disorientation emerges for the audience\, where proximity and distance gradually dissolve. “Deep Fake” thus explores fundamental questions of our present: How does digital technology change our perception of reality? And what happens to human connection in a system increasingly shaped by control\, data\, and artificial intelligence? At its core\, it observes the present: despite physical proximity\, it is becoming increasingly difficult for people to truly perceive one another. Communication becomes fragmented\, attention dispersed\, and relational experiences fragile. \nThe performance understands artificial intelligence not as the cause of this development\, but as a mirror of existing tendencies and as an amplifier of questions that have long been embedded in society.

It can be viewed from outside\, day and night. \n☆ Soft opening is on Sunday\, May 3 at 3pm ☆ \n‚Dream of a kid’ explores childhood memories shaped by the early digital age\, combining AI generated imagery\, early computer aesthetics and sculptural elements.\nDrawing on her own early experiences with computers and digital tools\, Hannah Uhlmann reflects on the boundless logic of childhood imagination\, where images are freely combined\, distorted and constantly reconfigured. \nHannah Uhlmann (born 1999 in Leipzig\, Germany) is currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Media Art and Design at the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar.\nMostly she is working with photography\, digital media and installation\, often combining different materials and approaches and sometimes including performative elements. In recent time\, she has focused on 3D design and animation\, while critically engaging with artificial intelligence and exploring both contemporary and traditional textile practices.\nA central focus of her work lies in the interplay between digital and analog processes\, translating physical realities into digital forms and bringing digital elements back into physical space. \n°｡⋆⸜ ✩🎧✮･*✧ \n*GATE TO is a permanent exhibition space at the site of Alte Münze. The former doorman’s house enters into dialogue with its urban surroundings\, opening the boundaries between art and public space.

DESCRIPTION:METANOIA — Art of Transformation is an immersive experience where movement\, fashion\, sound\, light and visuals converge into a shared space of becoming.\n\nWhat begins as a choreographic exploration of transformation gradually evolves into a shared field where performers and audience inhabit the same rhythm of light\, visuals\, sound and movement. As the boundaries between performers and audience dissolve\, witnessing transforms into participation.\n\nFive dancers appear as living garments\, moving from individual states into a shared constellation. The audience is free to move within the space\, witnessing the transformation from different perspectives as the boundaries between performer and observer gradually dissolve. The experience then flows into a DJ set and visual environment where sound\, projections and rhythm invite the audience into a collective celebration of movement and connection.

DESCRIPTION:Die Fotoausstellung „Mali: Persönliche Einblicke in die humanitäre Krise“ gibt einen eindringlichen Einblick in das Leben von Menschen\, die täglich mit den Folgen des anhaltenden Konflikts in Mali konfrontiert sind. Der malische Fotograf Tiécoura N’Daou reiste im September 2025 in die Regionen Gao und Mopti\, um die Auswirkungen der Krise aus nächster Nähe zu dokumentieren. Seine Bilder zeigen\, wie Menschen vor Ort mit Unsicherheit\, Vertreibung und klimatischen Herausforderungen umgehen und wie sie trotz allem ihre Würde\, Stärke und Hoffnung bewahren. \nMali befindet sich derzeit in einer der größten humanitären Krisen der Welt\, die gleichzeitig nur wenig internationale Aufmerksamkeit erhält. Rund 6\,4 Millionen Menschen sind aufgrund von bewaffneten Konflikten\, Zwangsvertreibung und klimatischen Schocks auf humanitäre Hilfe und Schutz angewiesen. Malian photographer Tiécoura N’Daoutraveled to the Gao and Mopti regions in September 2025 to document the impact of the crisis up close. November in Berlin stattfinden. \nInhaltlich wollen wir an der CaNoKo 2024 anknüpfen und uns mit der Umsetzung des CanG befassen\, also der Frage\, wie gut bzw. schlecht das CanG in der Realität funktioniert? Zugleich wird wie schon bei der letzten CaNoKo die politische Lage erneut extrem unklar sein. Wenige Wochen nach der Bundestagswahl wird vermutlich noch keine Regierung stehen und die Frage eines „Rollbacks“ des CanG – wie von der CDU/CSU bereits wiederholt angekündigt – noch im Raum stehen. \nDoch trotz dieser Unsicherheit können und wollen wir nicht weiter warten! Daher werden wir mit euch diskutieren und erarbeiten\, wie man das Gesetz weiter mit Leben füllt. \nDaher kann es nur heißen: Merkt euch das Datum vor\, kommt nach Berlin und beteiligt euch aktiv an der CaNoKo 2025 vom 21. bis 23. These collide with fragmented sound — distorted pop hits\, ambient noise\, and personal artifacts — creating a purgatorial space where time feels frozen\, as if the artists are trapped inside a memory capsule — or have become that capsule themselves. At the heart of this experience lies an inability to truly express oneself or break free. This work embodies the absurdity of existence\, where repetition\, irony\, and sincerity merge into a melancholic\, yet strangely optimistic\, loop. \nThe second part — “Utrennik” — is a multidisciplinary collective work by nine artists\, where sound takes center stage — merging with video and performance into a form of total installation. It delves into the “utrennik” — a Soviet-era children’s “morning performance”\, a ritual where cheap costumes and scripted magic barely concealed a deeper emptiness. For many who grew up in post-Soviet countries\, the “utrennik” became a symbol of exhausting repetition\, creation without creativity\, happiness without hope. Jede Nadel ein Statement gegen das Vergessen\, jede Spende ein Beitrag\, der Leben retten kann. \nTickets gibt es bereits ab 12 € pro Tag oder 20 € fürs ganze Wochenende. Vom lebendigen Austausch bis hin zum entspannten Verweilen: Die Alte Münze lädt ein\, den Ort als öffentliches Wohnzimmer zu erleben – offen\, zugänglich und gemütlich. \nKalte Getränke\, offene Gespräche und kreative Begegnungen bilden den Rahmen für ein vielseitiges Programm\, das dazu einlädt\, den Raum gemeinsam zu gestalten und zu genießen. \nIn entspannter Atmosphäre erwarten euch: \n– eine kleine Ausstellung mit Arbeiten von Künstler*innen vor Ort \n– ein Strickworkshop von w1p Studios\, bei dem Hände und Gedanken in Bewegung kommen um 14:30 Uhr \n– eine historische Führung um 16 Uhr über das Areal mit der Kunsthistorikerin Diana Thun\, die Einblicke in die bewegte Vergangenheit der Alten Münze gibt \nAb 18 Uhr öffnen sich die Türen der Prägehalle zur zweiten Ausgabe von AVERS – mit audiovisuellen Performances und einer besonderen Stimmung\, die zum Verweilen und Staunen einlädt. \nGleichzeitig feiern wir das Grand Opening der neuen Location von The Greens – inklusive Brunch und boozy Drinks!
