GATE TO // Hannah Uhlmann

  • 3. Mai - 24. Mai

The installation ‚Dream of a kid‘ by @hannah_uhlmann will be on view at GATE TO space in the courtyard of Alte Münze from May 3 to May 24, 2026. It can be viewed from outside, day and night.

☆ Soft opening is on Sunday, May 3 at 3pm ☆

‚Dream of a kid’ explores childhood memories shaped by the early digital age, combining AI generated imagery, early computer aesthetics and sculptural elements.
Drawing on her own early experiences with computers and digital tools, Hannah Uhlmann reflects on the boundless logic of childhood imagination, where images are freely combined, distorted and constantly reconfigured.

Hannah Uhlmann (born 1999 in Leipzig, Germany) is currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Media Art and Design at the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar.
Mostly she is working with photography, digital media and installation, often combining different materials and approaches and sometimes including performative elements. In recent time, she has focused on 3D design and animation, while critically engaging with artificial intelligence and exploring both contemporary and traditional textile practices.
A central focus of her work lies in the interplay between digital and analog processes, translating physical realities into digital forms and bringing digital elements back into physical space.
