EDITORIAL
Die Alte Münze
ist ein ehemaliges Münzprägewerk in Berlin-Mitte am Ufer der Spree, an dem ein Ort für Kunst- und Kulturschaffende, junge Kreative, die Stadtgesellschaft und alle Interessierte geschaffen wurde. Das historische Gebäudeensemble bietet Raum für diverse Veranstaltungsformate, aber auch für Ateliers und Studios unterschiedlicher künstlerischer Ausdrucksformen.
Die Alte Münze ist ein stetig wachsendes Zuhause einer interdisziplinären Gemeinschaft und steht für zukunftsgerichtete Umnutzung historischer Stadträume sowie eine diverse Stadtgesellschaft, die ein solidarisches Miteinander zwischen unterschiedlichen Projekten mit verschiedenen Ansprüchen und Voraussetzungen ermöglicht.

Schiphorst. In 2026, the Zafraan Ensemble presents a day-long festival bringing together concerts, film, discussion, visual art and performance. From instrumental works and multimedia installations to the silent film La Coquille et le Clergyman and the performance of HYPER-DUB with Tocotronic frontman Dirk von Lowtzow, the festival explores the poetic, political and radically experimental dimensions of ter Schiphorst’s music.
