WE ARE BACK
In an installation of sculpture and sound, animated by a live performance, the anti-disciplinary artist nora chipaumire creates a house of opportunity that is both radical and participatory. ‘Dambudzo’ – meaning ‘trouble’ in Shona – brings to life the ideas of radical African thinkers, interwoven with chipaumire’s own thoughts and experiences, current politi-cal realities, and the ongoing resistance to (neo)colonial control. In a relaxed private bar, the artistic team awakens the promise of freedom, and invites the audience to evoke new worlds together.
From September 4 to 6, 2025, works by 40 students from the of the Jewish School of Art 2025 will be presented at @alte_muenze .
